5 Copywriting tips
1 Write persuasive words that will influence the people who read them. Remember the old copy-writing rule which instructs that you should avoid jargon? Well if most of your audience is doctors, for instance, using medical jargon will convince them that what they are reading is knowledgeable on their subject.
2 Listen to your client. Writing the copy how you feel is best is fine, but ultimately, the client is paying for it, and he should have the final say as to the content. If you feel that the particular angle he wants you to take with it isn't in the best interest of his advertising, then by all means say so, but he has the right to decline your suggestions.
3 Don’t write a word until you have studied your product and the company you are writing about and learned as much about it as you can. After you know all the facts, all you have to do is to write about them.
4 Statistics are a powerful tool you can put in your copy; they are difficult to deny.
5 For the most part keep your copy light and easy to read; use simple words that everyone can understand, don't show off your superior dictionary skills. Place each word carefully, for each word should have a specific intent, but remember to keep it simple. Simplicity captivates the reader.
